A banda The Jokke foi criada em fevereiro de 2008 por Igor Dornelles que, depois de compor o CD “While Flame Burns” em dois dias, convidou Mauricio Weimar (ex Nephasth e The Ordher) para tocar bateria. Depois de aceitar o convite, ambos entraram em estúdio para gravar o primeiro CD, sem qualquer ensaio.
O CD foi gravado e mixado no Hurricane Studio em Porto Alegre, por Sebbastian Carsin, importante nome do cenário death metal no sul do país.
Logo após essa etapa, Igor Dornelles, vocalista e guitarrista da The Jokke e atualmente professor da Prediger Academia, convidou Wagner de Moraes para ocupar o cargo de baixista e logo após a saída de Mauricio Weimar, Marcelo Azevedo entrou para completar o cast.
Atualmente estão divulgando as músicas por meio da internet, visto que o álbum está disponível somente on-line, gratuitamente, a disposição no myspace da banda: www.myspace .com/officialthejokke
A banda está tocando em quatro rádios virtuais dos Estados Unidos, tais como Metal Breakfast Radio, Free Satan Radio, Brutal Existence Radio, Blood Eagle Radio.
